Description:

10-25 centimetres in size, bright red lines border the shell, and the neck, legs and tail have yellow stripes.

Habitat:

A turtle native to North America, often seen basking in groups near stiller bodies of water.

Notes:

Ontario has 8 species of turtles, with 6 listed as being at risk. This one actually has a healthier population than the others.
