Lilac Beauty

Apeira syringaria

Description:

A moth trying to share my shower! Thought a leaf had blown in at first.

Habitat:

Well I guess the bathroom isn't its usual stomping ground, but the woods and trees outside may be.

It does look very similar to the images in the link, I'll pop and get another photo. It's decided to live on an old bike in the out house. It is a very orangey colour, almost like a copper beech leaf.

Geometridae, Ennominae. Looks like Apeira syringaria. Strange position!! Please, verify! You have to google and check some other pictures, since yours has different colors but seesm to have to corresponding markings!
