Black-fronted Forktail

Ischnura denticollis

Description:

Lovely female damselfly with a red/pink thorax that has black striping. When the light hits it just right, it appears gold. The abdomen is black with two blue marks on the top of segments 8 and 9. The underside of the thorax and front of the abdomen.

Habitat:

Sagebrush in chaparral along trail.
