Cebuella pygmaea
smallest neotropical primate, average weight 119 grams
tropical rainforest, amazon
Pygmy marmosets came to visit the hostel near Mocoa a few times a day. The owner had a little platform set up with finger bananas on it. Along with the pygmy marmosets, saddleback tamarins also came to get the free food. I would hike for hours in the forest and not see any primates at all, then come back to the hostel and spot these guys, it figures!
