Description:

This Rocky Mountain beeplant was found growing next to a railroad grade at the Milner Recreation site, Idaho. This plant was about 3.5' tall, had trifoliate leaves and a strong odor.

Habitat:

Found growing in gravel along a railroad grade next to big sagebrush, cheatgrass, tumblemustard and forage kochia.

Notes:

This plant has been used as a source of food, medicine and dye since prehistoric times.
