Clark's Nutcracker

Description:

Corvid. Large grey bird with black tips to it's wings and long black beak. Has a symbiotic relationship with Limber Pines. They gather the seeds and will often cache them on mountainsides for the winter. They have amazing spatial memory but the few seeds that they forget about help repopulate forests.

Habitat:

Subalpine.

Notes:

Spotted at Rainbow Curve in Rocky Mountain National Park.
