Benigno, the wood boring jewel beetles (Buprestidae) are often extremely glossy and elongated beetles. C. rajah looks like this http://envirosea.photoshelter.com/image/...
Your beetle is a scarab as Lauren recognized. These include Cetonidae, the flower beetles, or rose chafers. http://www.goliathus.com/en/en-cetonidae...
