Description:

Medium sized brown damselfly; eyes brown above, torquise blue below. Transparent wings; black wingspot. Spreadwings breed in a variety of aquatic habitats like marshes, ponds and rarely in running waters.

Habitat:

Shady, quiet waters; woodland pools, especially temporary ones, and marshes.
