Dwarf fireweed

Chamerion latifolium

Description:

Bright, four-petaled flowers of the evening primrose (Onagraceae) family. This plant is a smaller relative of fireweed.

Habitat:

Found in a subalpine area at around an altitude of 3000 ft in Denali National Park.
