Caterpillar

Description:

A remarkable little caterpillar, 8 mm in length. Orange and yellow with white spots surrounded in black on the dorsal surface. It has a row of upward pointing tufts of white hair along each side and a profusion of white hair everywhere else. The usually hidden head capsule is visible in the 4th picture.

Habitat:

I found it crawling on a wall at night, so I am hoping it wants to pupate and brought it home. Semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico 2,200 meters.
