Description:

Wingspan 5.5 to 7.2 cm. Adult: forewing mottled gray, white, and brown; subreniform spot usually white with pale bar passing through it; vague blackish bar from base to outer margin, darkest below apex; in form "scintillans", forewing completely dark brown to blackish except pale band beyond ST line, and pale strip along inner margin near base.

Habitat:

On the brick in the shade behind shrubs. Honey Locust is nearby.
