Description:

Small plant about 3 inches tall that blankets our dirt each spring. It changes color from green to yellow to orange to red. They look like tiny trees. I've been told this is a type of Crassula but I can't find which. The second image is a cropped version of the first phone pic.

Habitat:

Disturbed, sandy soil near chaparral
