Description:

Procambarus clarkii is a freshwater crayfish species, native to the Southeastern United States, but found also on other continents, where it is often an invasive pest. This photo was taken during a field trip of our Biology course.

Habitat:

Montado (dehesa) area.

Notes:

This photo was taken in Herdade da Ribeira Abaixo (Grândola), an homestead that belongs to the Faculty of Sciencies of the University of Lisbon.
