Florida cooter

Pseudemys floridana floridana

Description:

I *think* I have ID'd this one. Mostly because 1) I found it within it's normal range, 2) too big to be a Yellowbellied Slider or Box Turtle and 3) the yellow of the bottom carapace and stripes on head and limbs.

Habitat:

This one was crossing the road from a construction site. We relocated her to a nearby creek.
