Irridescent orange crust fungus

Description:

An incredibly bright orange crust fungus covering about 400mm of a damp, mossy log.

Habitat:

Very dark and wet area of a eucalyptus dominated rain forest gully.

Not yet Denise. I'm still reading what I can find about crust fungi. It's amazing how little has been done on them and how many colours I have found so far. And then there's the issue of Aus having a different set of wildlife to the rest of the world. I have to accept that I might not get and full ID for much of the fungi here. You're so right about the pics not doing it justice too. Thanks.
