Six-marked Jumper - male

Opisthoncus sexmaculatus

Description:

A 6 mm long jumping spider with a deep brown body and pale caramel coloured pattern on cephalothorax. The abdomen showed a dark streak on either side of a pale midline and three white bands breaking these streaks into distinct segments. The first pair of legs were dark and banded.

Habitat:

Spotted on a young eucalytpus tree.

Notes:

Family: Salticidae
The female appears to transluscent legs with no banding.
