Description:

Brown, semi-circular fungi growing on my birch tree stump. Could it be feeding on the decaying wood? It is getting full sun and spawning in groups of about 12 ranging in size. Random collections of it all over the tree, mainly at the top.

Habitat:

Growing on dead birch tree with direct sunlight.
