bronze frog

Rana clamitans clamitans

Description:

This juvenile has the dorsolateral fold, jaw stripe, and spotting on the lower sides.

Habitat:

Cypress swamp

Notes:

These juveniles were abundant along the trail. We also noticed a high density of western ribbon snakes; perhaps these juveniles are a prey item.
