Sycanus sp.

Description:

Family: Reduviidae, Subfamily: Harpactorinae, Genus: Sycanus. Possible Sycanus Collaris. Approx 25 mm

Habitat:

Mixed deciduos temple grounds (Wat Umong)

Notes:

Bug was walking in a slow, deliberate fashion. Images displayed in the order taken.

So may be Sycanus cf. collaris? Or just Sycanus sp. and adding possible Collaris is the description section?

Hi Lauren, it was only when I got home I saw the great colours, at the time I was constantly being bitten by some large mosquitoes that the locals call ''yung lai'', got dengue from these a couple of years ago.
