Herbaceous plant, covered in stiff hairs. Leaves lanceolate, bright red flowers in racemes. Family Fabaceae (Papilionaceae).

Habitat:

Very common along the roadsides in Tuscany, where entire areas are colored in red by this plant, especially hillsides.
