Bay-Breasted Warbler

Setophaga castanea

Habitat:

Foraging in the apple trees at Heald Orchard Conservation land while it migrates through on its way to more northern breeding grounds.

Notes:

This was a warbler I really hoped to photograph, and today I had great looks at this beautiful warbler.

Thanks Ann, venusflytrap an Fyn for the nice comments. Fyn good luck this weekend, I hope you get good looks at a Bay-breasted and many other warblers!

Beautiful. A slight nemesis of mine, though I should get one on a Bird-a-thon I'm doing this weekend.

You bet there's more:-) I have others to post from today, but there was one that got away. I had a good look with my bino's at a breeding plumage male Mourning Warbler, but it took off before I could get a pic:-(
Still I had a great day and never expect to get them all.

And there's more! Makes you feel like a kid in a lolly shop opening up your collection each day.
