Brown thrasher

Toxostoma rufum

Description:

Juvenile Brown thrasher sitting on top of a swing awning. There were adults nearby, pulling worms out of the ground after a rain, but I couldn't get a photo, and I didn't see them interact with this youngster. Same family, Mimidae, as the Northern mockingbird.
