Verified in the book. Bugs of Washington and Oregon. By John Acorn and Ian Sheldon. May 16th approximately 1.5 inches or 3.5 cm in length. May 19th approximately 2 inches or 5 cm in length. This caterpillar wen't into its cocoon on June 17, and emerged on July 15 2014.
