Chalcid Wasp

Description:

Small metallic green wasp with red eyes and yellow legs. Pteromalid family. Dr. Steve Heydon says it is difficult to say exactly what this might be, except that there is better than a 90% chance that it is Pteromalus.

This is a very large family - with a great deal of variation (something like 20-30 subfamilies depending on who you talk to). This wasp is in the subfamily Pteromalinae.
