Description:

Common endemic species. The yellow coloration moves to mid body as they progress to an adult. Nuptial males develop a blue cast and their black stripes will turn partially yellow. Juveniles are frequently seen in aggregations on top of reefs with a current feeding on zooplankton. This specific group was found within a depression in the top of the coral.

Habitat:

Areas with current near top or under ledges in coral.
