Rock Hyrax

Procavia capensis

Description:

A Rock Hyrax spotted at Lake Nakuru, Kenya. Although looking like a large rodent, Hyrax are most closely related to the Elephant and have large and unusual incisors that I believe are similar to tusks.

Habitat:

Rocky outcrop with crevices
