Fuligo septica
A tinny yellow fungi growing in a colonial form on grinded tree branches.
Urban, woodland
Wouw that's a crazy spotting then. Must read about this species and should definitely check it tomorrow to see what happened. Thanks a lot for amazing information.
You're so right about the name. It's also called 'dog vomit' which is even worse - I don't know what some people must feed their dogs ?!! You have found it in perfect condition - very lucky. 2 days it will probably be gone. The first one I found only lasted 6 hours. There might be a brown crust remaining. A fascinating life form - not related to plants, animals or fungi... something very different. It feeds only on bacteria. Great spotting!
Thanks Mark! Then I will definitely check it tomorrow or the day after. That's a crazy name for a mold :)
That's better. This slime mold will not last long - maybe one day. If you can check again it will look a very different picture.
Mark, Thanks! Looks like your suggestion is right and I have uploaded again the photos.
Hi Faredin.. this looks like a 'slime mold' maybe like Fuligo septica. Did you try to make the second one again?
second photo looks terrible...I didn't upload photos this evening...in morning everything was ok
yes, it has really strong yellow color. Have you had problems with uploading photos today? My photos get destroyed like the second photo here.
