Grey Tree Frog

Hyla versicolor

Habitat:

Mostly rural area

Notes:

I was surprised to find this tree frog when I opened the front panel of a lawn sprinkler controller. There was a small opening in the bottom for the frog to squeeze in, but I don't know how it got through the tangle of wires to get to its perch.

I've seen frogs, snakes, and even a couple of salamanders in valve boxes, but this is probably the first time I have seen a vertebrate in a controller.

I find toads in our sprinkler box too, I don't know how they do it! Very cute spotting :)

Wow, a very unusual location for Gray. I am sure he was confused on what color to change to. :-)
