Description:

Large (58 to 80 mm), with numerous sharp, pointed projections on the head and dorsal surface (hence the name).

Habitat:

It is found in Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, and Panama, and its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Frog Pond exhibit, Monteverde.
