possibly yellow-wattled, red-wattled eggs appear more blotchy?

This is a Lapwing species.There are two in your area.
Yellow-wattled Lapwing Vanellus malarbaricus and Red wattled Lapwing Vanellus indicus.If you were so close to the nest, you should have seen the bird.Both species usually are very noisy when someone approaches.
