Geometrid Moth

Macaria sp.

Description:

Fragile Geometrid moth, beige-yellow with thin bands and notched wings, 2 cm long. The second picture was taken on 28 May 2013 and this individual has less brown and thinner bands. Pictures 3, 4 and 5 are of an individual photographed on 1 August 2013. This one looks identical to the others except for the black spots on the upper wings. I think it is still the same species. The last picture was taken on 21 Jun 2014.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
