Leaf Beetle

Description:

Small Leaf Beetle of 5 mm. The third picture shows the strong hind legs for jumping from the underside. This beetle might live in the tops of the pines because I have never seen it on any plants in the garden or native vegetation. It has come several times to an ultraviolet light. Family Chrysomelidae. Pictures 4 and 5 are of an individual photographed on 25 Abril 2014.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
