"Mycalesis patnia is now considered endemic to Sri Lanka. M. junonia from
India was earlier considered a subspecies of M. patnia but is now considered a distinct species (Kunte et al., 2018). There are no other subspecies of M.
patnia." - van der Poorten & van der Poorten (2018)
