Thalictrum dioicum
. The little pom-pom of thread-thin stamens that make up the flowers on this pretty plant usually start in June, but turn mauve as the season progresses. It resembles a Maidenhair fern.
It grows in sugar maple woods at the same time as trilliums and dog tooth violets.
