Wilson's Warbler

Wilsonia pusilla

Description:

Small Olive green bird with darker wings and tail, yellow underside. Males have a black cap.

Habitat:

Trees and fence line near marsh.

Notes:

A very quick little bird. Moves rapidly through leafy tree branches with ease. Warbler curiosity finally developed after I patiently returned to the same area several days in a row and maintained habitual behaviors. Then I was able to observe the Warbler(s) on the fence line as well as in the trees. The Olive green color of this Warbler matches well with the young leafy tree colors of green and yellow.
