Description:

These lovely fire pinks did not get the memo that they are supposed to have late spring blooms! I found these among the early spring ephemerals this year.

Habitat:

Fire Pink grows in open woods and rocky deciduous slopes in eastern North America, ranging as far north as extreme southern Ontario. Found in: AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, VA, WI, WV
