Great catch, Diane! They are so hard to photograph...glad you got this shot! :)
Given the conditions that morning on the Amazon - flat light, not knowing when a dolphin would next appear and where one might next surface, this is a fantastic image! Unlike my experiences with dolphins found in the Atlantic, those in the Amazon have no rhythm, as to where they may surface next. Getting a shot, especially one of the animal's just surfacing with its full face, was remarkable given the brief time that we spent in the area in which our guide found a few.
