Anolis carolinensis
At 10:30 a.m. in the morning, I looked out of the right front window of my house, and I saw a green reptile, resting on one of the outside walls. The colors of this reptile, was green and some kind of purple. Part of this reptiles tail was green, and part of its tail, was some kind of purple. The color of its digits on each foot, was some kind of purple. Its digits were banded. Dark and light colors. The lower legs, were also banded. Dark and light colors. The color underneath its head, was white. The color of its eyes, was black and silver.
This reptile, lives in habitats with very high humidity. It can be found in swamps, forests, wooded beaches and other areas with trees. It may also be found in parks and yards. It is often found basking in the sun, as it clings to trees, shrubs, vines, palm fronds, fence posts and walls.
I spotted this reptile, resting on one of the outside walls of my house, at 10:30 a.m. in the morning.
I'm no expert but a little quick research suggests that this might be a green ankle: http://www.wildflorida.com/wildlife/liza...
