Female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail: Not quite light form and not quite dark form

Papilio glaucus

Description:

A female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, in between light and dark form. Very unique find that I wanted to share with projectnoah! Here is a link to whatsthatbug.com verifying this beautiful butterflies identity. http://www.whatsthatbug.com/2008/08/09/f...

Notes:

I actually sent some pictures into the Vermont Center for Ecostudies and received a very excited response! They had never seen one quite like this, I will cherish it forever :)

Very neat! Please add the scientific name to your spotting so it can be considered complete. Such a unique find!

I found this butterfly in the road, I think it was hit by a car. I did not buy it. It is from Concord VT.
