Description:

2-10 inches tall with a flower that is between 3/4 and 1 1/2 inches wide. Flowers are lavender with the top two petals slanting backward. Leaves of plant are finely cut, and stems are dark purple.

Habitat:

Dry woods, clearing, prairie.

Notes:

They bloom between March and June.
