Golden Damselfish

Amblyglyphidodon aureus

Description:

Amblyglyphidodon aureus, known commonly as the golden damselfish, golden sergeant, and golden devil, is a species of marine fish in the family Pomacentridae, the damselfishes and clownfishes.

Notes:

This spotting is to show the Damselfish brooding her Eggs on a whip coral. Close-up picture #2 shows the Tiny Eggs/embryos on the Whip Coral. During the time, the Mother takes care of her Eggs by using her pectoral fins to fan the Eggs if there are particles and also to aerate her Eggs. She can be aggressive during this time, sometimes, trying to chase off other fishes or trying to bite Divers that goes too near to her Eggs
