White Banded Crab Spider

Misumenoides formosipes

Habitat:

Prairie restoration area. Found on a larkspur leaf.

Notes:

I often find these on accident when I notice a syrphid fly that isn't moving. Usually there is a crab spider attached to the other end. They are masters of camouflage.
