Description:

Annual plant with small, single, red flowers, Leaves are alternate, bipinnately dissected into narrow, linear segments and the lower leaves are petiolate.

Habitat:

Mediterranean meadow

Notes:

This red flowering plant is used for medicinal and ornamental purposes. The plant is a cardiotonic, diuretic and stimulant. The Pheasant's Eye flower is considered to be a diuretic, laxative and lithontripic.
