Description:

A tiny unidentified long-legged fly (Dolichopodidae: Sciapodinae). There are a diversity of long-legged fly species at this location. Often seen in afternoon sunlight, they just happen to cast fine shadows.

Habitat:

Observed in a large semi-urban yard & garden next to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
