Possibly the most Arctic moth spotting on PN and for Moth Week 2013! These two Icelandic specimen were photographed within 5 km of each other. The second landed on my husband's nose and the background was blurred post-shot for clarity. A single of this moth generation flies in June and July. Foodplants, bog myrtle (Myrica gale) and birch (Betula spp.).

No, unfortunately not. I did not have the time for a profound search, I did the ID between two extractions ;-)...
