Amanita sp-36 Mushroom

Description:

This gorgeous mushroom had an orange-brown cap with remnants of volva present as yellow-tan warts. Mostly cream colored stem and gills. Mushroom was approximately 7cm tall.

Habitat:

Growing on the ground in a wet, deciduous forest.

Notes:

Amanita sp-36 is a temporary name for this mushroom, which is found in hardwood forests in the eastern U.S.
