Plemyria georgii

Description:

about 1/2 inch long, resting with its wings quite wide. edges of forewing and hindwing appear to have a lacey pattern. Cryptic grey and brown markings, short antennae.

Habitat:

Pacific Westcoast temperate rainforest. Attracted to light on a sheet at the edge of a blueberry field and garden, backed by a scrub field.

Notes:

This is taken about 10:30 pm after a hot spell with no rain for 31 days. Very rare weather for Maple Ridge.
