Scarlet Macaw

Ara macao

Description:

One of my favorite spottings while in Costa Rica! A pair of nesting Scarlet Macaws! The second and third picture shows a beautiful macaw perched on a branch which is who we noticed first. Then I noticed someone peeping out of a hole in trunk of a tree! I was very excited to see the pair and that they had a nest.

Thanks Jae!

The one out on the branch was chirping a bit so the one in the nest was indeed saying hello...or hey whats going on out there. lol.
