Northern Water Snake

Description:

Dark with red and tan saddling stripes that will dull with age.

Habitat:

Man-made lake near dam and stream.

Notes:

This was an intake as a NYS Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator. This snake was caught in a plastic cup top (pictured above). He had small abrasions and significant scale damage.
