Eastern Garter Snake

Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis

Description:

Three yellow stripes go down the course of the body, along with a checkered pattern. This snake was about 2 feet long.

Habitat:

Edge of gravel lot.

Notes:

Looked under a trash bag and saw him. I put him in the open to get him tired after striking a few times, then I got him to settle down enough for me to take pictures with him.

Thank you, but I think it would be appropriate that you ask permission before you use a photo that's not yours next time.
